The camp boasts modation in the form of 40 luxurious safari tents, each one equipped with private verandas and a private deck with sweeping views of the Masai Mara. The tents were built with en-suite bathroom with shower, stone floors, soft lighting and stands at least eight metres away from the next, ensuring absolute seclusion.

Guests can enjoy cool dips in the palm-fringed swimming pool overlooking the plains of the Mara or enjoy the landscape view of the Oloololo Escarpment stretches into the distance. Exquisite meals are available at the airy main restaurant. Dinner may be served alfresco style outdoors, depending on weather and private meals can be arranged on request. At nightfall, Askaris (Maasai warrior security guards) panies each walk to and from the tents.

In the morning, the game drive will take guests to the Mara River – hippo point is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic lunch. There is the option of visiting a Maasai Village at an extra fee for those wanting to learn all about the Masai culture and there way of life or have a bird’s eye view of the Masai Mara in an incredible hot air ballooning experience. As Kichwa Tembo is in a private concession, night game drives can be arranged for a minimum of two guests. This thrilling experience allows guests a glimpse of the nocturnal world of the predators and provides sightings of animals that are not normally encountered in daylight.

Each “tree house” is raised several feet off the ground on a large wooden platform and built using natural resources; the rail for the stairs is built out of long knotted tree branches; the walls are made from folded banana leaves, and the roof is thatched.
